WP4.2: Sea ice and its links to climate changes

WP4.2 objectives

• To reconstruct sea-ice cover and seasonality for the present and last interglacials from ice core and marine proxies, using the information provided by proxy modelling and data assimilation.
• To test modelling of polar sea ice in the model outputs generated in WP1.1 and provide an assessment of the ability of models to simulate future sea-ice extent under warm conditions comparable to those of the last interglacial and the early part of the present interglacial.
